The Lexus LX, the brand’s biggest and most luxurious SUV, is also a capable off-roader and available with a potent hybrid powertrain. It’s an all-things-to-all-(wealthy)-people vehicle that can conform to a variety of uses, from family hauler to luxury bus to wandering wagon for getting away into the backcountry. Nothing changes for the 2026 model year other than a new F Sport Appearance Package that’s available for the F Sport Handling trim; the package includes color-keyed bumper and running-board trim, as well as black side mirrors and spoiler accents.

  • LX 700h Ultra Luxury: $142,450

Trim Levels

The 2026 LX’s entry-level Premium trim comes loaded with the sort of equipment you’d expect on a six-figure SUV. It rides on an adjustable-height suspension with adaptive dampers and 20-inch wheels, and it features keyless entry and start, front LED lighting, windshield-wiper de-icers, a moonroof and a hands-free power liftgate. The cabin is upholstered in leather and has heated and ventilated front seats, heated outboard second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, power tilt/telescoping steering column, head-up display, ambient lighting and second-row window shades. Cabin technology consists of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 7-inch touchscreen for climate controls, wireless phone charging, 10 speakers, and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard on the 2026 LX. It includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering steering, lane departure alert and steering assist, emergency steering assist, left-turn oncoming traffic detection with automatic braking, road-sign recognition and automatic high beams. Blind spot monitors, front and rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, traffic-jam assist, a driver-attention monitor, road-sign recognition and a 360-degree camera system are also standard. Hybrid variants also include automated parking.

The Luxury trim level rides on 22-inch wheels and upgrades to semi-aniline leather with massaging front seats, a 25-speaker Mark Levinson audio system and a digital rearview mirror that provides a clear view aft even if the driver’s line of sight is obstructed by passengers or cargo.

The F Sport Handling and Overtrail both feature most of the Luxury’s equipment minus the Mark Levinson sound system (optional on both). The F Sport Handling gets sportier tuning for the suspension and steering, plus a limited-slip rear differential, 22-inch wheels, and a grille with a unique mesh and a black-chrome frame. Aimed at the overlanding set, the Overtrail rides on matte-gray 18-inch wheels wearing 33-inch all-terrain tires and features electronically controlled locking front and rear differentials.

At the pinnacle of the LX lineup is the Ultra Luxury. It focuses on passenger comfort, only available sans the third row and with massaging second-row captain’s chairs. Backseat occupants get their own dedicated control panel for seat adjustment as well as the audio and climate-control systems, plus a dedicated wireless phone charger.

The LX 600 is powered by a 409-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V-6 engine with 479 pounds-feet of torque. In the hybrid LX 700h, electric assist ratchets output up to 457 hp and 583 pounds-feet, slightly improving fuel economy while dropping the 0-60 mph time from the LX 600’s 6.9 seconds to 6.4.

Both powertrains are backed by a 10-speed automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel-drive system with a locking center differential, crawl control and hill-descent control. Both can tow up to 8,000 pounds.

Lexus says the LX 600 returns the same EPA-rated 17/22/19 mpg city/highway/combined as the 2025 model, while the LX 700h is rated at 19/22/20 mpg (official 2026 EPA estimates for each are not yet available).

How Much Is the 2026 Audi A6?

By Robert Duffer

September 26, 2025

Shareaudi a6 2026 exterior oem 05 jpg2026 Audi A6 | Manufacturer image

Key Points:

  • The redesigned 2026 A6 starts at $65,395, $6,000 more than the outgoing model (all prices include $1,295 destination fee).
  • An updated twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 is the only engine offered.

The redesigned 2026 Audi A6 mid-size sedan rolls into its next generation with a higher price, more potent twin-turbocharged V-6 engine, and a versatile new platform shared with the fully electric A6 Sportback e-Tron. The sixth-generation A6 costs $6,000 more than the 2025 model, but it comes with a host of upgrades and a sleek new design that prioritizes aerodynamics.

What’s New?

The 2026 A6 rides on the same 115.1-inch wheelbase and is a similar 74 inches wide as its predecessor, but it’s more than 2 inches longer, the better to show off its more fluid sheet metal. Audi says the new A6’s drag coefficient of just 0.23 makes it the most aerodynamic of any production internal combustion Audi ever. The interior sports a digital glow-up, and Audi emphasizes new lighting arrays inside and out.

The brand streamlined the previous model’s engine choices into one more potent twin-turbo V-6; the base 261-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder is no longer offered. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard. An available air suspension with adaptive dampers can be had over the steel spring suspension, lowering the ride height by 0.8 inch versus the standard configuration, and the air suspension can lower the car an additional 0.4 inch in Dynamic mode.

Pricing and Release Date

The 2026 Audi A6 is on sale now. Pricing for the full lineup is as follows:

  • Premium: $65,395
  • Premium Plus: $68,795
  • Prestige: $72,695

Safety Features and Trim Levels

Audi equips the 2026 A6 with a suite of advanced safety systems. Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering steering, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, traffic-sign recognition and automatic high beams. Optional features include an automated parking system, head-up display, limited hands-free driving system and 360-degree camera system.

The standard screen setup consists of a single curved display formed from seamlessly joining an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and 14.5-inch touchscreen. The base Premium trim comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats, leather upholstery, an electrochromic panoramic roof with six individually dimmable segments, and tri-zone automatic climate control.

The Premium Plus trim adds the limited hands-free semi-autonomous driving system, the 360-degree camera, a Bose 3D sound system, four-zone automatic climate control, heated outboard rear seats, chestnut wood trim and LED headlights.

The top Prestige variant includes the air suspension and adaptive dampers, organic light-emitting diode taillights with seven available sequences, a 10.9-inch passenger screen, soft-close doors that automatically latch to prevent slamming, and a 20-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system with front-seat head restraint speakers.

Powertrain Specs and MPG

The twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 engine has new turbochargers, revised tuning and improved intercooling; it now makes 362 hp and 406 pounds-feet of torque, which are increases of 27 hp and 37 pounds-feet over the 2025 model’s 55 TFSI V-6. It motivates the A6 from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds.

Behind the V-6 is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Quattro AWD remains standard and can completely decouple the rear axle when conditions permit to maximize fuel efficiency; it can send up to 70% of the engine’s torque through the rear differential. Audi also stiffened the A6’s entire steering linkage for greater feedback and more responsiveness. Rear-wheel steering is also available.

Official EPA fuel-economy estimates have not been finalized for the 2026 model, but Audi says it gets 20/29/23 mpg city/highway/combined — down slightly from the 2025 equivalent’s 22/30/25 mpg.
